    About the Job

 

The Program Coordinator position is located within Central Office Operations.  The PC is responsible for the administration of statutory and regulatory obligations of the Bureau in as it pertains to operator records.  Policy, procedure, and programs are monitored, documented and analyzed to identify compliance, efficiency gains, and opportunities for improvement.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this roles are as follows:

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal statues/regulations and BMV policies related to Records Management Department
  • Supervise and coach staff to develop their skills and prepare them for current and future responsibilities.
  • Analyzes and understands legislative codes as applies to business rules.
  • Develop and maintain communication standards in order to best inform internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Oversees programming updates and changes. Ensures changes are tested and approved prior to implementation.
  • Analyzes patterns to find gaps in business practice and system capabilities.
  • Analyzes operational needs and creates manageable solutions.
  • Identifies and establish processes to increase transaction accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversees agency initiatives and special projects related to Records Management Department

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the mission, policies and multiple functions and responsibilities of the Bureau.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of the Bureau’s records programs.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of and ability to apply the varied laws, rules and regulations as they relate to the processing of the Records Management Department
  • Considerable knowledge of state government operations, managerial, administrative, budgetary and personnel related regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to recognize problems and conceptualize, develop, administer/implement and revise programs, policies, strategic plans, long-range plans, goals and objectives to ensure the efficient, effective and responsive management of assigned programs and special projects.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including an ability to resolve complex problems.
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and delegate tasks effectively to staff.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrates ability to deal effectively with conflict resolution.
  • Ability to make decisions and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to provide effective guidance to clerical staff.
  • Associates degree or related business experience.
