About the Indiana Veterans’ Home

The Indiana Veterans’ Home, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, is the only long term care facility in Indiana dedicated to serving veterans and their spouses.  We provide a beautiful, healthy and home-like environment for veterans and their spouses to live. About the Job:

The Indiana Veterans' Home is currently seeking a Technology Assistant for nights and weekends. The Technology Assistant serves as frontline technical assistance and support role for IVH. Providing customer service to IVH staff, residents and volunteers. The Technology Assistant is responsible for supporting business critical platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Office Programs, MatrixCare Enterprise Clinical and Financial Modules, state intranet, and state employee resources. This position maintains confidentiality of patient records. This position reports to the Director of Communication and Technology

A Day in the Life:

· Work with business critical platforms to become a subject matter expert on functionality

· Provide prompt technical support for business critical platforms, responding to all shift requests for technical assistance via phone, email, vFire portal, etc.

· Work with the Director of Communication and Technology to coordinate and perform maintenance and upgrades to new and existing platforms as well as supporting systems, including occasional non‐traditional hours when necessary

· Create and maintain technical documentation for platforms and associated processes

· Provide individualized instruction on basic functionality and use of facility technology resources (hardware and software) to IVH employees

· Serve as frontline administrator managing user permissions and access to MatrixCare software systems

· Supports technology-related database management of technology resources required for agency and contract staff (Time Tracker, MatrixCare SNF, etc.)

· Serve as frontline tech support resource for night/weekend staff, assisting with telehealth technology resources, resident video chats, IoTs functionality, and network connectivity

· Support agency cybersecurity and HIPAA compliance initiatives, and assist in providing instruction to IVH staff

· Display a professional attitude in dealing with supervisor, coworkers, residents, volunteers, and others inside and outside the facility

· Report regularly to the Director of Communication and Technology. Submits written reports to the Director of Communication and Technology when asked.

· Perform other duties as requested, including technical support of IVH Special Events as requested

What We're Looking For:
  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
What You'll Need For Success:
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in software support and troubleshooting

If this is an Intermittent position, the position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
