About the Job:

As the Nurse Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising assigned nursing staff for a specific unit within a state hospital.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows: 

  • Provides clinical supervision leadership and training to nursing staff;
  • Provides administrative supervision and financial management;
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and clean working environment;

What We're Looking For:

  • Current valid State of Indiana RN license;
  • Current CPR certification;

What You'll Need For Success:

 

  • Knowledge of professional nursing principles and the ability to implement these;
  • Expert knowledge of the principles of staff, children and adolescent evaluations;
  • Ability to plan and change programs and procedures to comply with state and federal laws and regulations;
  • Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
  • Must have professionalism and organizational competencies;

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role provides direct supervision for one or more staff members.
