About South Bend Community Re-Entry Center:

Here at South Bend Community Re-Entry Center, we are a dedicated team of corrections professionals who work together towards successful reintegration of lawful, self-sufficient, and productive citizens into the community.  Our goal is to ensure our residents are afforded every effort to gain the skills, tools, and work ethic needed to prepare for a successful re-entry to the communities we serve.  We accomplish our goals through thoughtful and compassionate interaction with each other, the residents and their families, and the community.

 

Salary Information:

This role typically starts at a rate of $13.21 per hour, for a base salary of $12,883.00.

About the Job:

 

South Bend Community Re-Entry Center is seeking permanent part-time drivers with flexible schedules to ensure prompt and safe transportation of Work Release Offenders to their place of employment and/or events.

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or must obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Specialized knowledge of vehicle laws pertaining to truck and transportation.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to read maps and understand written directions.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate vehicle operator license.
  • Ability to drive under all types of road conditions
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Ability to be dependable
  • Must have good rapport with offenders and staff
