Salary Information:

This role starts at a base salary of $34,398.

About the Job:

As the Plant Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising offender workers in performing a variety of production duties.

A Day in the Life:

The essential function of this role are as follows:

  • Supervises offender workers in the production work of assigned shop.
  • Provides on the job training to offenders in the manufacturing of products.
  • Performs or supervises the set up and maintenance of equipment.
  • Monitors quality control of work being performed and of finished goods.

What We're Looking For:
  • Thorough knowledge of one or more of the areas of manufacturing.
  • Thorough knowledge of equipment set up and maintenance.
What You'll Need for Success:
  • Ability to teach operational skills to offenders.
  • Ability to develop production schedules and monitor quality of work.
  • Ability to resolve operational problems.
  • Ability to ensure work is performed in accordance with custody policy and procedures.
  • Ability to supervise offenders performing work that required exactness and accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
This role provides supervision for offenders and requires a high level of judgment and care.
