Role Overview:
The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is seeking a talented management professional for a Regional Manager position in Indiana. The Regional Manager oversees the operations for multiple license branches in designated regions throughout Indiana.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $75,010.00.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Ensure all license branches provide excellent customer service.
- Encourage and apply teamwork among all managers and associates.
- Direct and coach employees to create training and development plans according to set standards.
- Continuously evaluate all employees’ performance and communicate feedback to develop employees.
- Identify problems and take immediate corrective action to resolve conflict in a positive manner.
- Work directly with peer groups to achieve goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Branch Operations within the Central Office operations
- Achieves results by maximizing productivity.
- Oversee financial accountability within the allocated region.
- Analyze customer volume to accurately forecast staffing needs.
- Conduct quarterly audits for license branches in assigned regions to ensure operational compliance.
- Follow and support the BMVC’s mission, policies, and procedures and implement with all employees.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirement to be considered for employment:
- Four-year college degree preferred or 4 years of work experience
- Experience managing multiple locations
- Ability to effectively lead a large team
- Ability to manage multiple branches within a large radius
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to quickly gain knowledge of BMV policies and procedures
- Strong internal and external customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities.
- Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
