As one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country, the Indiana State Park Inns proudly operates seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana. Each one offers a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!
Located just outside Nashville, Indiana, Abe Martin Lodge is nestled in the picturesque hills of Indiana’s largest state park, Brown County State Park. The lodge features 84 guest rooms, the Little Gem Restaurant, cabins, an indoor water park, and over 6,000 square feet of banquet/conference space
Role Overview:
Indiana State Park Inns is looking for someone who wants to grow and expand their experience in the hospitality industry through working with management in operations, leading and directing the staff, and building the hotel's reputation and relationships.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
- Assist the General Manager in their day-to-day operations
- Leading and directing multiple departments
- Work with supervisors to ensure that policies are adhered to, and goals are met
- Review daily business reports for accuracy and approval
- Review Accounts Payable for accuracy and compliance with budget allowance
- Review and process payroll and assist in HR responsibilities
- Provide training to staff
- Adhere to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures
- Receive, resolve, and/or assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints and service recovery processes
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Need for Success:
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs and a fast learner in other business programs.
- Ability to quickly analyze a problem and arrive at a solution.
- Exceptional math and coaching skills.
- Ability to supervise employees.
- Ability to hold effective communication with coworkers and guests and assist them as needed.
- This role should expect to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Individuals may be required to wear an Indiana State Park Inns-provided uniform.
