About Madison State Hospital:

Madison State Hospital has served the citizens of Indiana for over a century. In 2005, the Joint Commission accredited hospital moved into its state-of-the-art treatment facility created from an extraordinary blend of historic restoration, renovation and new construction. It was certified as one of the first Leadership in Environmental Energy Design (LEED) psychiatric facilities in the nation. A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

• Cleans restrooms, sinks and mirrors;

• Mops and waxes floors;

• Dusts and polishes furniture;

• Washes windows, blinds and walls;

• Distributes paper towels, bathroom tissue, paper cups, cleansing agents, etc;

• Requisitions, distributes and stores supplies;

• Reports needed repairs of equipment and facility;

What You'll Need for Success:

Working knowledge of the proper care of, and ability to use, cleaning equipment such as mops,

brooms, vacuum cleaners, power scrubbers, polishers and buffers;

• Working knowledge of the variety and uses of cleaning and sanitizing agents;

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;

• Assists in training new employees and complete necessary reports and order forms;

• Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
