Role Overview:
In this role as a seasonal custodian you will maintain and clean the administration, subdistrict, and testing buildings: cleaning/sanitizing the restrooms; wiping down multiple high-touch surfaces; vacuuming, washing, and polishing floors; moving furniture; performing light maintenance such as painting, changing light bulbs, weeding, trimming, and snow removal; and providing custodial support for multiple meeting rooms. The role of the seasonal custodian is essential to the improvement of customer service, more aggressive cost-saving measures, and innovative solutions. This role is vital at all times to the maintenance and improvement of Indiana’s facilities, and by extension, Indiana’s roads; to the movement of goods and services; and to the safety of America’s Crossroads.
Standard hours of work are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This position is located in INDOT’s Laporte District.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $18.00 an hour.

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
