Salary Information:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $37,778.00 but may be commensurate with education and job experience.
 

About the Job:

This position is responsible for coordinating, managing and providing appropriate training and education as determined by the Directors for Clinical Quality Management & Community Impact, Prevention, Services and Surveillance for providers, funded agencies, local health departments and ZIP Coalitions throughout Indiana. The CQM/CI Director will implement guidelines, expectations, goals and standards that are set by Program Directors. While training is focused on programmatic needs of the Division, the Training and Education Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with capacity building training, leadership training, and special projects as assigned by the Division leadership.
    

  

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Facilitate internal Training Taskforce to determine training needs and outcomes
  • Schedule and host all training sessions with support and participation from appropriate Division staff
  • Keep a divisional calendar of advanced trainings
  • Research new and innovative training methods to serve the diverse needs of community partners
  • Certify and recertify providers according to Division policy and standards established by Program Directors
  • Invite and contract national trainers for training sessions as appropriate
  • Maintain, plan and publicize Division course training schedules for consumers as appropriate
  • Utilize Division wide resources to develop training curriculum
  • Facilitate training implementation, evaluate outcome of trainings, and make recommendations for future conferences and trainings
  • Initiate, coordinate and implement capacity building trainings for funded sites and/or community partners
  • Assist in the completion of the grant funding agreements and progress reports where appropriate
  • Assess additional training and capacity building needs of funded sites annually and facilitate necessary trainings

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Education degree, masters preferred
  • Classroom experience in primary, secondary, graduate or corporate setting preferred
  • Advanced public speaking and facilitation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations related to HIV in Indiana
  • Extensive knowledge of HIV Counseling, Testing and Referral Services policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of HIV, STD, and hepatitis transmission
  • Knowledge of current developments in public health and HIV
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
