Hire Salary:

Salary range is $45,000-$48,000, based upon experience.

About The Job:

The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller operating within the Indiana Fiannce Authority

A Day In The Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Assist with Accounting:
    • Maintain the accounting ledgers for Programs in accordance with GAAP
    • Reconciliation of investment and trust accounts monthly
    • Prepare monthly reports for internal analysis
    • Prepare disbursements & reimbursements for Programs
    • Assist with closing books on a quarterly and yearly basis
    • Assist with development and adherence to internal controls
    • Assist with preparation of Annual and Biannual Budget
    • Assist with preparation of quarterly reporting and analysis (budget vs. actual)
    • Identify training needs to further develop accounting skills​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
  • Payroll:
    • Maintain payroll records
    • Execute Payroll on a biweekly basis
    • Assist internal & external users on payroll matters
  • Assist with preparation and participation in external Audit:
    • Prepare audit schedules as required
    • Meet with and discuss matters with External Auditors

What You'll Need For Success:
  • Knowledge and skill typically acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable professional work experience may substitute for a degree;

  • Experience with MAS 90/200 or comparable software a plus

If this is an Intermittent position, the position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
