Role Overview:
Serves as an Engineering Technician for INDOT Office and Field support for the MSE Wall retrofit Contract. Incumbent will perform the following tasks to assist with the IDIQ style Innovative Contract :
-Document (plans, shop drawings, geotechnical reports) search for the MSE Wall Retrofit Contract request for information.
-Quantity checks for Contractor's proposals (work items), pay rates and estimates for the MSE Wall Retrofit Contract. -Field check, taking photos and verification of planned work including visual quality inspection for the MSE Wall Retrofit Contract.
-Incidental office work such as scanning, printing, making photocopies, cleaning equipment, organizing etc.
-The employee is needed to assist with essential tasks to support proper vetting and execution of the current Design-Build MSE Wall Retrofit Contract. In addition to this contract, this position will provide MSE wall asset management support, MSE wall review at different stages of construction, etc.
Location:
This position is located in INDOT’s Central Office, Geotechnical Engineering Department.
Pay Rate:
This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $16.24 but may be commensurate with education and work experience.

What You'll Need for Success:
You must have the following requirements to be considered for employment:
- The Candidate must have a minimum of an associate degree in engineering (or 2 years of engineering coursework)
Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:
This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
