This position is typically filled at a salary of $35,568.00 annually. Internal employees are subject to the promotion and demotion policies.

About the Job

The Senior Real Estate Review Appraiser recommends changes in existing programs which may have an effect on total agency operation based on agency policies.  This individual works independently and possesses sufficient technical authority for the work.  Decisions and major recommendations are reviewed for compliance with agency policy and attainment of goals.  This individual makes a substantial contribution in the development and implementation of significant programs.

A Day in the Life

  • Formulates, interprets, compiles and disseminates, to applicable agencies and groups, all policies and procedures related to the program
  • Reviews all incoming policy or procedural information for decisions on distribution
  • Acts as technical consultant to the entire staff, clarifying and interpreting all procedures, providing references and resolving disputed issues
  • Serves as a liaison between agency and other state and federal agencies
  • Assists Director in evaluating proposed programs in topic area
     

What We're Looking For

  • Broad knowledge of an entire program area
  • Extensive knowledge of all source materials and references including federal and state laws governing the programs
  • Working knowledge of the organization of the agency and of state and federal agencies dealing with the programs
     

What You'll Need For Success

  • Working knowledge of accounting and budget principles
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret and correlate very technical material
  • Ability to develop and implement new principles and policies and discern any far reaching implications
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with federal and state agencies

If this is an Intermittent position, the position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
