Role Overview

The Employer Maintenance Unit (EMU) was created to maintain accurate employer records in the Indiana Support Enforcement System (ISETS) to ensure child support income withholding orders are sent to the correct location. The unit is responsible for addressing inquiries from county prosecutors’ offices and other outside sources as well as serving as the primary point of contact for employers.  Quality customer service for employers is critical since a majority of child support payments are processed via Employer Income Withholding. 

 

The Program Coordinator maintains a variety of assignments, including Employer Update Requests, Employer Terminations, NCP Annual Support Fee Notices, Reports, Non-Compliance Terminations, Employer Lump Sums, and returned mail.  

 

Salary

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216 annually but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

 

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are:

  • Compile information relative to the assigned program area.
  • Coordinate correspondence for information requests.
  • Organize and maintain current and historical files related to the program.
  • Organize program reports, applications, and maintain consultative services.
  • Maintain and organize program assets.
  • Prepare all program-related training materials.

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • General knowledge of the program area.
  • Basic knowledge of the rules and regulations pertaining to the assigned program area and its affects upon other agency operations.
  • Ability to gather and compile program materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process.
  • Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
