About the Job:

The purpose of this Centralized Enforcement Unit (CEU) position is to increase collections either directly or via supporting county functions.  This is accomplished by researching situations derived from reports and telephone calls. This position also ensures courteous and timely customer service work for the area and in conjunction with the various entities and agencies the unit works within the goal of enforcing child support orders.

What You'll Do:

Process Passport Reinstatement requests received from county child support offices.
Monitors the INCEUPASSPORT mailbox daily for passport reinstatement requests received from county child support offices. 
Researches ISETS to determine if the NCP has been submitted and qualifies for passport denial on any other IV-D cases.  In order for a passport to be reinstated, all counties must agree to reinstate. 
Update State Services Portal with passport reinstatement request.
Update Passport Reinstatement spreadsheet located in the R drive. 
Places STOP on Enforcement Screen for Passport Denial so case does not get resubmitted.
Performs required research on CSLN (Child Support Lien Network) website.
Researches ISETS to analyze if the IV-D case:
is still open
if arrearages are still owed
are there other monies holding that would pay the arrearages in full. 
Makes notes on CSLN website of action taken by CEU. 
Issues IWO to the insurance company.
Update spreadsheet of insurance matches maintained in the R drive.
Updates ISETS accordingly; 
may receive a better mailing address from CSLN
create lien screen in ISETS.  
Contacts the insurance company after IWO has been issued to insure they received the IWO and to obtain a status of the insurance settlement, update ISETS and CSLN website with status.
Assist with gathering CSLN insurance match collection statistics for CEU statistics report that is provided to CSB upper management.  After Query report is received, report is analyzed to identify the CSLN insurance match collections received and also research the payment through the iDocStore web application to determine if payment type was posted accurately.  The NCP may have multiple IV-D cases, all cases need to be reviewed and analyzed for insurance payment(s). 
While reviewing/researching cases, if it is discovered that the insurance payment was posted under an incorrect payment type;
Employee captures incorrect payment type case information, 
Reports this information to the supervisor so that a request may be submitted to the ISETS HELP Desk requesting that the payment type be corrected.  
Updates CSLN website with collections received on the insurance matches. 
Researches Bankruptcy Notices in ISETS to determine if an open, IV-D case exists.  
Researches ISETS to determine if an open IV-D case exists.  If open IV-D case exists, the county name, county FIPS code and the case number is written on the bankruptcy notice.  
If there is no record of the case in ISETS or if the case is NON IV-D or closed, the bankruptcy notice is placed in the shredder bin.
Scan all documents so that they can be sent to the counties via EDE.
Also keeps count of IV-D and NON IV-D notices for weekly work log.  
Responds to telephone inquiries received from local Indiana IV-D child support offices, Out of State Child Support agencies, employers, Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE), Attorneys, Insurance Agents, and the public concerning passport reinstatements, insurance matches, tax offset issues and any general information.
Responds to written inquiries AND forwards NCP's correspondence to the appropriate county child support office within 3 business days; promptly and courteously.
Assist with direct deposit processing.
Processes direct deposit requests the day they come in, and determines whether the information provided was enough to begin the process or, if not, sends out a reject letter. 
Update ISETS to reflect information provided on the direct deposit request.
Log actions taken for supervisor review. 
Assist co-workers as needed or as requested by supervisor or CSB management.

 

What You'll Need to Succeed:

High school diploma or GED, accurately record information, computer literate, acceptance of supervision, follows direction, excellent oral and written communication skills, good customer service skills, general office skills, good computer skills, knowledge of microsoft applications including EXCEL, adherence to State Personnel Department and Division of Child Services policies.
