Role Overview:
The Program and Partnership Manager is responsible for the development, management, training and scheduling of community partnerships, volunteers and interns for the engagement department. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting the department with day-to-day operations, managing the reservation system, marketing and promotion of programs. The incumbent will also assist with the implementation of year-round, school-age camps, school and outreach programs as well as support other programs within the department.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,560.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
- Recruit and coordinate community partnerships aligned with programs throughout the engagement department; Field requests for community event participation and coordinate with the engagement team
- Manage the community partner database and policies and procedures protocol for community partners
- Work with the Volunteer and Intern Service Manager and various engagement team members to recruit, train, manage and schedule volunteers for various programs and events
- Facilitate school programs, including but not limited to on-site, assembly, and outreach programs
- Assist with the preparation, facilitation and clean-up of camp during school breaks and summer camps
- Work with the Engagement team to schedule and coordinate programs in the reservation system (Altru)
- Resource for the engagement department to coordinate the purchasing of department equipment and supplies, assist with grant projects, schedule meetings and trainings and track department budget
- Work with the Vice President of Education and Engagement to align and implement goals, objectives and learning outcomes with department goals and programs
- Assist with marketing programs through school districts, community partners and in coordination with the marketing department efforts
- Perform related duties as assigned
What You'll Need for Success:
- Bachelors degree preferred or relevant work experience
- Experience working with youth in a formal and/or informal educational setting
- Excellent project management, communication and customer service skills and experience
- Strong public speaking skills and able to show enthusiasm while working with youth and adults
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, long program days during camp season and some weekends
- Experience with Altru is a plus but not required
- Ability to work and communicate needs and information to other departments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with ADA compliancy rules and procedures and awareness of cultural sensitively issues
- Have a current Indiana driving license
