The Indiana State Park Inns are one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country. We proudly operate seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana that offer a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!

 

Fort Harrison Inn:

Fort Harrison Inn is nestled on a scenic knoll within the serene Fort Harrison State Park in Lawrence, Indiana. The Inn features 28 guest rooms, the Harrison House, the Officer Homes, the Garrison Restaurant, banquet/conference space, and the Fort Golf Resort. 


Salary Statement  

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $16.45/hour but may be commensurate with education or work experience.


Role Overview

Compile and keep personnel records. Record data for each employee, such as address, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on ability, and date of and reason for termination. Compile and type reports from employment records. File employment records. Search employee files and furnish information to authorized persons. In addition, enter employee information into the appropriate time-keeping system and review and submit payroll bi-weekly.  

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Provide information about the company’s personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants
  • Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and classifications
  • Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations 
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate the qualifications or eligibility of applicants
  • Answer questions regarding salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information 
  • Examine/audit personnel files to ensure all forms are in the employment file for each employee
  • Enter employee information into the time-keeping system and benefit system 
  • Make sure staff complete enrollment into health insurance, retirement, and other benefits timely
  • Review and process payroll getting the General Manager’s final approval and ensuring department managers have approved and signed off on time recordings
