Role Overview:
This position provides specialised support across multiple platforms, including Marketing Cloud, Squiz Matrix, SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 tools, while also serving as a key AV and digital media support resource for the agency. The role is highly hands‑on, managing complex AV systems such as Tricaster, Live Call Connect, streaming tools, and auditorium equipment to support live events, hybrid meetings, and agency‑wide broadcasts. Candidates will also oversee video content management, including Pividal archival workflows, platform transition activities, podcast support, and long‑term media storage organisation. This position works onsite and collaborates closely with IDOH program teams, IOT, external vendors, and event organisers, making it a dynamic role with both technical depth and cross‑team interaction.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $61,022.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Conduct thorough research, fact-finding, and analysis of user needs and problems required to develop and maintain information systems of moderate complexity.
- Assist in analyzing business processes and workflows to determine how applications can be optimized to meet organizational goals.
- Prepare project feasibility studies.
- Prepare user requirements, functional design, physical design, and other relevant system design components.
- Formulate system scope, project cost, time estimates, and human resource and equipment requirements for implementation of new application software or enhancements to existing application software systems.
- Assist in coordinating tasks, managing timelines and ensuring project deliverables are met.
- Provide technical support for application systems, including diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Designs, codes, and debugs new application software programs and/or makes enhancements to existing application software programs of all levels.
- Test and troubleshoot system interfaces to ensure smooth data flow between applications.
- Provide complete documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software programs.
- Mentor and provides guidance and training to new and lower level staff.
- Monitor completed application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:
- Working knowledge of new systems design techniques, information technology equipment, operation and capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of information systems design principles.
- Specialized knowledge of application development software languages.
- Thorough knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques used for application development.
- Familiarity
- Advanced knowledge of information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of both system and business applications and competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities of those systems.
- Ability to perform problem solving and analytical analysis.
- Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
A degree is not required. However, at least 2-4 years of experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.
