About the Job:

This position serves as a Shared Services Support to Human Resources Directors performing support tasks in a limited program area. Work is broad in nature, requires the application of human resources policies and procedures and regularly entails authorized access to confidential employee information. You will also provide a variety of technical and clerical functions.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Assists small centralized agencies with various requests in all areas of HR including special projects, such as assistance with file maintenance per the personnel file retention guidelines;
  • Accurately completes data entry for assigned agencies related to employee records while maintaining confidentiality;
  • Completes termination process for voluntary terminations and retirements;
  • Provides assistance as needed with administrative support to the HR Data and Compensation/Organizational Design Divisions;
  • Customer Service - Responds to customers (internal or external) inquiries within 24 business hours;
  • Composes correspondence for administrator on technical and administrative questions;
  • Gathers information and makes reports on special programs within assigned program area;
  • Informs the program administrator on current status of work in progress;
  • Ensures compliance and uniformity of program practice with program policy.

What You'll Need for Success:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE).
  • Extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures and programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to work with a variety of Microsoft Office software products at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Ability to type in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to attend to detail and maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
     

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
