About the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites:

Role Overview:
Provide support to Facility Rentals Manager
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and conduct site visits, when needed.
• Assist Facility Rentals team with recruiting new business and maintaining satisfied clients.
• Assist and attend weekly events meeting to make all staff aware of upcoming needs and responsibilities.
• Serve as liaison for the ISMHS with food service contractor, entertainment groups, rental companies and other vendors to ensure that resources are available external events and ensure on-site representation for all events (before, during and after).
• Deliver exquisite customer service to clients and ALWAYS be attentive and try to anticipate any needs in a pro-active manner.
• Perform pre-event walk throughs to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded. This includes coordinating with others to ensure set ups are correct and facility is ready!
• Communicate all needs ahead of time, as able, to Maintanance, Security, AV, Experiences, Housekeeping, Education/Programming and Visitor Experiences.
• Ensures that administration of event rentals area is efficient and well maintained; that correspondence is timely, that responses to inquiries are prompt and efficient, and that prospect and client records are adequately maintained.
• Ensures that proper post-event follow-ups and client evaluations are completed as a measurement of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a professional apprearance and behavoir at all times.
• Has flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Works cooperatively and productively to assist the museum in achieving its overall mission.
This position will work evenings and weekends.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $16.73 per hour but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
- Some essential functions of this position may be performed onsite at the agency’s worksite or other assigned worksites while some essential functions of this position may be eligible for work from home authorization in accordance with policy. Remote work authorization is not automatic and is dependent upon operational needs and agency approval.
