About Indiana Office of Technology:
The Indiana Office of Technology provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, reliable enterprise-technology services to our partner agencies so that they can better serve our mutual customer, the Hoosier taxpayer. IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.
Role Overview:
As the Enterprise Architect Team Manager, you will be responsible for helping the Enterprise Architecture team with their day to day success. This position will be a technical expert responsible for aligning enterprise architecture direction and solutions with business strategies across the Indiana Office of Technology and the State’s IT infrastructure. This role is key to helping IOT in its efforts to strategically engage our partner agencies, focusing on understanding and supporting their business needs and technology aspirations, working to guide them to adopt and implement solutions that align with statewide policies, standards, and solutions where practical.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $93,002.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Assist the IT Director in developing current and long-range direction of technology in accordance with the direction of the agency.
- Assist the IT Director in setting policies and procedures, technical standards and methods and priorities for information systems activities.
- Assume director’s responsibilities in their absence.
- Dispense technical advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.
- Analyze new technologies and makes recommendations.
- Assist the IOT executive team in the budgeting process
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Monitor time and dollar expenditures to ensure projects and budgets meet established targets
- Represent the agency’s information technology division at events and meetings
- Assist in the budgeting process with agency senior management for the information technology division.
- Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.
- Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate the performance of employees. Ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
- Expansive work experience in Information Technology and project management.
- Ability to bridge technology and business goals to provide productive solutions.
- Broad knowledge of all information technology disciplines and general business theory.
- Thorough knowledge of the organization and management of the state agency’s operations.
- Considerable knowledge of the organization and management of state government.
- Ability to negotiate complex and large sum agreements with other agencies, divisions and outside vendors.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to frame issues based on the policy implications associated with managing what is otherwise a very technical discipline.
- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
- Ability to effectively give feedback, provide guidance or corrective action, coach, and develop employee skillsets.
