Role Overview:
The Quality Assurance Analyst assesses compliance by developing procedures and conducting reviews. This includes case reviews, agency compliance activities, and quality assurance reviews such as case reviews, Child and Family Services reviews, and internal quality assurance. You must have an extensive understanding of federal, state, and agency regulations, polices, and guidelines. You will complete basic data analysis, write reports, and give data presentations to regional staff.
The Quality Assurance Analyst frequently collaborates with project teams and service groups to identify compliance topics, review progress, develop training materials, and facilitate training sessions.
This position is in Indianapolis, Indiana, with occasional travel to DCS regional offices. Travel is reimbursed if you don't use a state vehicle.
Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative system reviews to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes, practices, and policies.
- Coach field staff to prepare for qualitative federal and regional reviews
- Review hotline calls to asses output and service quality. Provide feedback to managers.
- Interpret results, present trends, and provide written and verbal summaries and graphic visualizations to leadership. Recommend continuous quality improvements
- Collaborate with central and field staff to develop training for the various agency divisions.
- Decrease variance and improve inter-rater reliability by identifying measuring differences and refining assessment tools.
- Research policies impacting federal and state practice trends to assist in resolving agency requests for existing or new programming modifications.
- Create quality assurance tools for targeted improvement, oversee their use, provide feedback on data gathered, and adjust to quality assurance tools as needed.
- Attend and represent the agency divisions at project-related meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Schedule, track, and organize all Onsite Review Instrument and Instruction (OSRI) federal reviews and other quantitative and qualitative assurance reviews.

What You'll Need for Success:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to conduct compliance reviews of random samples of service program cases.
- Specialized knowledge to determine whether decisions and actions follow agency guidelines and policies, state and federal requirements, and the clients' interests.
- Ability to serve as a mentor on federal regulations and state policies regarding practice models for all field review team representatives.
- Ability to maintain systematic automated processes for reporting by using basic statistical techniques and queries.
- Knowledge sufficient to understand and explain reports, including automated Tableau reports.
- Ability to create curriculum and train staff for service reviews.
- Ability to facilitate group meetings and training sessions with professional demeanor and data integrity.
- Skills in using Microsoft Office productivity suite and Minitab statistical software.
