Role Overview:
The Business Systems Administrator provides direct support agency-wide as it relates to business systems. This role will support all departments with the timely procurement of all technology-related goods and services, coordinate office telecommunication systems, and manage IT assets at the IEDC. Will act as liaison between IEDC and the State IOT – IOT Security Coordinator and between IEDC and non-State technology consultant partners.
Salary Statement:
The salary range for this position is $59,000 – $65,000, commensurate with education and work experience
A Day in the Life:
Service Management
- Proficient in ITSM tool administration and management (ASM, ServiceNow, CRM ticketing queue, etc.)
- Ensure request, incident, problems, and change records are accurate and complete throughout their progression
- Assist in creating and maintaining IT operational workflows, knowledge documents, reports, portal content, and communications to IT and business partners
- Maintain and improve internal IT SLA levels
- Review IEDC systems, functions, and business effectiveness as it relates to IT equipment and systems and recommend process improvements
- Manage and maintain international travel equipment, coordinating with IOT to ensure seamless handoff and timely return
Infrastructure Management
- Order, track, and maintain all wireless devices
- Manage IT assets and conduct periodic inventory to ensure accurate tracking
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, monitors, printers, and other peripherals to ensure optimal performance and user productivity
Other Essential Functions:
Security
- Act as IEDC Security Coordinator and use IOT provided tools for ongoing monitoring and proactive remediation of cybersecurity risks
- Work with IOT Security team to plan and manage an effective phishing campaign and awareness training
Application Management
- Serve as primary system administrator for various internal IEDC systems & applications (Concur, Ironclad, Neat conferencing equipment, Formstack, Lessonly, Monday.com etc.)
- Responsible for monitoring system health, providing user access, managing user accounts, monitoring security and other functions as necessary
- Verify the functionality of agency automations and support their development or enhancement based on evolving agency requirements
Other Duties
- Prepare reports for management
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need for Success:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Four years’ experience in IT
Knowledge of:
- Business process mapping and technical writing to help create SOPs
- Prior experience and exposure to process and procedures of state governments and agencies helpful
- Microsoft 365 Office Suite and applications in the Microsoft Environment such as SharePoint, Teams, Booking, etc.
- Microsoft Power Platform experience is preferred, specifically Power BI & Power Automate
Ability to:
- Expand knowledge of existing IEDC processes and suggest process improvements to promote more efficient operations.
- Work with and manipulate confidential data in a secure and timely manner.
- Work well under stressful time constraints and a fast-paced environment.
- Multi-task and change focus quickly.
- Perform as a team player demonstrating flexibility; detail oriented and highly organized to consistently meet deadlines.
