Business Analyst

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) has Portfolio Level Responsibilty for the products and services delivered by the Indiana Office of Technology. The Business Analyst will have 2 main areas of responsibility in Product Management and Technology Adoption

A Day in the Life

 Work with the CTO to define and refine the documents and processes for the IOT Product Quarterly Business Review (QBR)

 Work with the Chief Operating Officers (COO) Product owners to complete the QBR process and define launch and adoption plans for the products and services manged by IOT

 Work with the Chief Financial Officer's (CFO) finance team to collect the data for financial models used in the QBR and assist the Product Owners validate assumptions

The Business Analyst will work with the Director of the Adoption Center to identify requirements necessary to support the successful launch and adoption of Products and Services delivered through IOT.

Collaborate with our customers and Product Owners to effectively gather requirements for new products and services

Collaborate with the OCTO Architect team to capture and track newly identified product opportunities

Collaborate with the OCTO Architect team to identify Product Marketing ideas and opportunies and work with the States strategic vendors to identify and maximize the usage of available support resources

Collaborate with the OCTO Architect team to develop a roadmap for product and service capabilities / launch schedules aligned to the strategic priorities

 Collaborate with the IOT service owners to analyse opportunties for enhancement / decomission of existing services

Collaborate with the IOT Communications team, the Adoption Center & Vendors for the launch of new products

What we're looking for

BA + 2 years of IT experience, or equivalent experience

Strong analytical skills & strategic thinking aptitude

Product Management experience preferred

Strong Organizational Skills and the ability to Follow-through on commitments.

Fundamental understanding of technology concepts and the willingness to learn quickly

Effective prioritization is critical.

Ability to step into the customers shoes and bring their perspective to the conversation

Must have very good written and verbal communications skills.  Must be comfortable speaking with Agency Executives, IOT customers and External vendors

If this is an Intermittent position, the position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
