Role Overview:
The Executive Director of Document and Credential Management plays a key role in the functioning of several departments that are integral to the daily operations of the entire BMV. This particular role is strategic in nature as it requires looking at impacts on the entire agency, not just the impacts on the Document Management/Credential Management departments. These departments are considered “back office" functions that are the "backbone" of the agency. There are several key departments that report up through this position. Those departments are Records Management, SPEX, Financial Responsibility, KTA, RFI, Mail, Corrections, Credential Management, CVP, and the Print Farm.
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all back-office operations are running efficiently and attain specific metrics within each area. This role ensures that all inbound documentation is checked and verified against established and documented processes. This role also ensures that all credentials are verified and printed correctly on a daily basis. As the scope of this role is wide, the Executive Director of Document and Credential Management must be well versed in how the BMV functions not only from a back-office perspective but from a field perspective as well. This is what makes this role unique.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $93,002.00.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Ability to review, and if necessary, implement processes to ensure all departments are compliant with BMV policies and procedures.
- Establish program objectives, KPIs, and actions to achieve them.
- Implement corrective action plans to solve program problems.
- Review budget and analyze financial data for each department to ensure each area is performing within the budgeted guidelines.
- Train, coach, and develop management staff to high standards of performance to consistently provide high quality results.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders in the agency to ascertain and develop responses to agency needs.
- Audits data warehouse reports, validates information, and works to develop new analytical data as needed.
- Performs independent day to day decision making to ensure the accurate processing is applied to all processes.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.

- Specialized knowledge in program subject matter obtained through experience and/or education.
- Working knowledge of accounting and budget principles.

- Ability to recognize problems and conceptualize, develop, administer/implement and revise programs, policies, strategic plans, long-range plans, goals and objectives to ensure the efficient, effective and responsive management of assigned programs and special projects.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and delegate tasks effectively to staff.
