Salary:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $37,648, but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

About the Job:

As the Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for working within an office environment to support your agency performing the required tasks to complete the position’s responsibilities. In this position, you will be required to have some background in an office environment using established procedures. In this role you may be working independently, performing various responsibilities, and providing a wide range of functions. 

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows: 

  • Prepare and maintain administrative reports, policies, and procedures for different program areas. 
  • Responsible for all administrative activities such as sorting mail, ordering supplies, and processing travel. 
  • Schedule and maintain calendars for meetings, travel, and activities. 
  • Prepare information and take notes for meetings as needed. 
  • Answer and direct incoming correspondence to the appropriate individual. 
  • Aid departments in program needs. 
  • Lead or assist on a variety of projects.

What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment: 

  • General knowledge of the basic principles and practices of administrative management. 
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize work and project time for accomplishing activities. 
  • Ability to establish cooperative work relationships with a variety of stakeholders 
  • Working knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Ability to update and write procedures and policies. 
  • Ability to coordinate activities. 

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
