About the Job

The Front Desk Receptionist works in the Review Board’s offices located on the central campus in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 

With the ethical restraints Review Board members face in communicating with claimants and employers, the Front Desk Receptionist provides the only direct-line for claimants and employers to obtain information about their cases.  Additionally, the Front Desk Receptionist provides all the administrative support required for the Review Board to reach a reasonable decision.

A Day in the Life

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • Provide timely and quality customer service
  • Process the Review Board’s intake in accordance with the Review Board’s internal procedures
  • Prepare and mail correspondence, notices, and other documents
  • Break apart case files for storage per the Review Board’s internal procedures
  • Assist the Review Board’s clerk and staff attorneys with handling appeals pending before the Indiana Court of Appeals in according with the relevant provisions of the Indiana Code, the Indiana Administrative Code, and the Indiana Rules of Appellate Procedure
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Uplink system to ensure that Uplink is utilized to its highest potential while performing job duties

Preferred Experience:

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    4 years of work experience  in administrative support, business administration, program support, public administration, or accredited college training in a related field 

What we're looking for:
  • Specialized knowledge of the basic principles and theories of administrative management;
  • Working knowledge of research techniques and report composition;
  • Ability to analyze procedures and policies and write procedural manuals and recommend improvements;
  • Ability to coordinate the work of section staff;
  • Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to maintain cooperative work relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
