Role Overview

Assist in the Indiana State Fair balancing process for the accounting team during the fair dates of August 2 -August 18.  Will need to begin employment no later than July 22, 2024. Fair days run Tuesday – Sunday and hours are normally 12:00pm- 9:00pm.  Training will take place two weeks prior to the start of the fair between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm.


Salary Statement

The salary for this position is $16.00/hr.

 

What You'll Need for Success:

  • To be considered for this position, you must be enrolled currently in an accredited college or university, majoring in Accounting, AND have completed at least two years (2) years of college-level education credits

  • Must have a flexible schedule and be prepared to work weekends, early mornings, or late nights especially Aug 2-Aug 18

  • Demonstrate people and management skills

  • Demonstrate ability to thrive in a challenging and fun environment with many unknowns and changing objectives

  • Detail-oriented

  • Demonstrate project management skills to develop and execute multiple projects simultaneously to meet overlapping deadlines

  • Demonstrate above average organizational/problem-solving/decision-making skills

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrate ability to proactively identify issues/develop solutions/implement resolutions

  • Demonstrate creative and strategic thinking

  • Must have the passion of a self-starter and quick learner

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently

  • Must be able to work outside

 

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period
