Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $16.24 an hour.
Location:
This position is located in INDOT’s Fort Wayne District, Technical Services Department.
A Day in the Life:
The System Assessment Intern will provide support to the District System Assessment group in conducting field investigations of state-owned assets and assisting with planning and developing of culvert, bridge and roadway projects. In this role you will assist with small culvert inspections. Additional field investigations may be required on an as needed basis to assist the Culvert, Bridge, and Pavement Asset Engineers. These investigations can be prompted by customer concerns, vehicular accidents, condition data, etc... This position may also attend field checks, which are meetings to discuss the development of a funded project. Additionally in this role you may also assist our scoping staff in the planning and development of projected capital projects. This position will be work in the field and is subjected to the elements, appropriate dress for all weather conditions is necessary.
