Summary/Objective:

This position is responsible for helping to prepare and review environmental documents in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), INDOT and other applicable regulatory agencies.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Collects, researches, and digitizes environmental data;
  • Collects and analyzes field data;
  • Prepares environmental documents for various INDOT projects, including the development and coordination of environmental related reports;
  • Ensures compliance with federal & state regulations;
  • Provides related technical assistance in development & maintenance of tracking logs using data base management systems; and
  • Performs other job related duties as required.
Requirements:

Currently enrolled or recent graduate of an Environmental or closely related (e.g. geology, archaeology, natural resources, ecology, etc.) program.

If this is an Intermittent position, the position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
