Role Overview:
You will assist in performing duties as assigned to Buildings and Grounds at Camp Atterbury and MUTC. Assistance to the energy department is successful in the Military Environment because Cultural and Mechanical Strategies are incorporated into existing custodial and Maintenance Activities.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this is $13.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on qualifications; limited to working a maximum of 180 calendar days.
A Day in the Life:
- Perform Building audits
- Flush Fire hydrants
- Performs grounds maintenance work including, but not limited to power washing, painting, cleaning pump house, picking up hoses and insuring area is clean of trash and debris.
What You'll Need for Success:
- Must have and maintain a valid Indiana Driver’s License and or military Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or HSE
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Walk/stand for extended periods, climb ladders and structures, kneel and crouch for inspecting on occasion.
- Detail oriented and well organized.
Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:
This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period
