Summary/Objective:

The Project Manager Associate is responsible for developing and delivering projects on-time and on-budget, while working within a multi-disciplined, diverse group of project management professionals. This position is responsible for managing scope, budget and schedule for small projects or projects within a large project.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Manages the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements;
  •  Completes the scope of work while ensuring INDOT’s quality, financial, risk management and policy expectations are met;
  •  As a project manager on a larger project, may work under the direction and mentorship of the lead project manager;
  •  Responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on project;
  •  Responsible for all communication efforts during project delivery to ensure project success;
  •  Reviews and understands all functional (ROW, environmental, design, utility, etc..) requirements to ensure expectations are clear and establish predictable workloads;
  •  Facilitate cross-functional engagement with design and construction;
  •  Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, engineering technology, construction management, public administration, business management, or related field – equivalent combination of work experience and/or education may be substituted;

 

This position is typically filled at a salary of $41,496.00 annually / $21.28 per hour.

If this is an Intermittent position, the position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
