The starting salary for this position is $39,936.


Work Location:

This position is located in the Bureau of Motor Vehicles' administrative offices in Indianapolis, IN.

About the Job:

As the Branch Manager, you are responsible for ensuring staff compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and laws. In this position, you will ensure that the licensing needs of the customers are provided by the branch in a timely, safe, and secure manner. As the Branch Manager, you will oversee and execute all aspects of branch operations, and evaluate branch metrics to ensure the branch is functioning at its highest efficiency.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Oversee the branch day-to-day operations;
  • Clarify, enforce, support, and provide guidance to branch staff in the interpretation and implementation of BMV policies and procedures
  • Evaluates branch metrics to ensure the branch is functioning at its highest efficiency
  • Consult with Regional Manager to ensure staffing levels are scheduled correctly
  • Assist with the daily opening and closing of the branch
  • Complete daily and weekly reports
  • Complete daily records for all balances and deposits
  • Facilitate the resolution of all customer complaints
  • Monitor BMV inventory and office supplies

What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirement to be considered for employment:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE).
  • Four (4) years of supervisory experience.
  • An exceptional drive to assist with the training and development of BMV employees
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret general policies, procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to communicate exceptionally with a variety of employees and customers
  • Strong experience with writing reports and presenting
  • A high level of critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role provides direct supervision for one or more staff members.
