About NeuroDiagnostic Institute

NeuroDiagnostic Institute and Advanced Treatment Center located on the campus of Community East Hospital in Indianapolis, and operated in partnership with Community Health Network, delivers advanced evaluation and treatment for patients with the most challenging and complex neuropsychiatric illnesses and moves them more efficiently into the most appropriate treatment settings within the community or state mental health system. The NDI is a key component the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s initiative to modernize and reengineer Indiana’s network of state-operated mental health facilities.



This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $26,702.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.


About the Job:

The Account Management position within The NDI is responsible for patients' accounts daily bank deposits, recreation and trust fund control, all A.R. data entry, cashbook receipt entries.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows: 

  • Perform Monthly Bank and QuickBooks Reconciliation
  • Prepare Monthly Reports
  • Balancing, and Closing of Accounts
  • Process Unclaimed Property
  • Process Fixed Asset Inventory
  • Records Retention
  • Other Duties as Assigned

What You'll Need for Success:

Comprehensive knowledge of principles of municipal accounting systems of accounts and encumbrances
•    Thorough knowledge of the procedures for financial control and accounting under the requirements of the Indiana State Auditor
•    Knowledge of the general procedures within a municipal payroll system
•    Ability to analyze and solve complex accounting problems
•    Ability to follow and implement the accepted principles of the municipal accounting profession
•    Ability to work as part of a professional team and to interact with other agency employees when dealing with technical matters
•    Ability to take direction and to offer technical advice in the field of accounting
•    Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, ability to plan, organize and review the work of subordinates

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.

Three (3) years of full-time professional experience with state accounting, purchasing, asset management or related experience

•    Accredited college training may substitute for the required experience with a maximum substitution of one (1) year. (Fifteen (15) semester hours in ACCOUNTING; BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION; or PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION required.)
•    Two (2) years of full-time paid experience
