This position is located in INDOT's Fort Wayne Sub.
Role Overview:
This position will assist the CDL trainer in setting up training requirements.
Pay Rate:
This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $16.24.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Prepare new and existing team members to operate commercial vehicles safely and confidently
- Setting up and calibrating the driving simulator
- Review the day's schedule, greet trainees, and walk them through the objectives of thier session
- Guide paricipants through realistic driving scenarios - including urban, rural, highway, and sdcerse weather enviroments
- Observe trainees performance in real time, provide coaching and corrective feedback and help them build strong driving habbits in a controlled, safe setting
- Document trainee progress, record results and collaborate with supervisors or training coordinators to ensure each trainee meets required competency levels

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
