Salary Statement  

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00.

A Day in the Life:

This position reports to the Director of Branch Operations and supports the day-to-day and long-term operations in license branches.

  • Achieves operational objectives as outlined on the internal performance scorecard;
  • Assists in creating, implementing, and evaluating Branch Operations initiatives, programs, and projects
  • Recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for improvement
  • Lends expertise to departments on agency initiatives, programs, projects, and manuals
  • Participates and contributes to Branch Operations and/or other department meetings
  • Identifies departmental objectives, establishes goals, and empowers progress to improve all facets of operations;
  • Creates and implements memos, policies, standard operating procedures, manuals, and forms
  • Maintains accuracy of Branch Operations policies, standard operating procedures, manuals, and forms and updates as appropriate
  • Coordinates the activities and functions of designated agency improvements
  • Conducting specified analyses and investigations into certain areas such as long-range and short-term goals, problems and complaints, and fiscal health
  • Provides administrative assistance to the department
  • Maintains and updates information on the statewide branch information and contact lists
  • Maintains additional records for the department as needed
  • Submits requests for system upgrades/changes that support Branch Operations initiatives

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Broad knowledge of all BMV/C transactions and branch flow
  • Extensive knowledge of all source materials and references, such as Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and all BMV/C Policies and Procedures
  • Broad knowledge of STARS database;
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and correlate material and make recommendations on implementation in current programs;
  • Ability to assist in the developing  and implementing of new principles and policies and discern any far-reaching implications;
  • Ability to establish program goals, priorities, and, methodology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to handle and manage multiple projects or tasks at one time
